Emily Grace Wetzel surprised us by coming a week early into our lives. I have to admit, I was not prepared for her arrival at all! She was due June 3rd, but we were scheduled to induce on May 29th so Daniel could be there for her birth (he had a training mission he was suppose to leave for early that next week.) My mother-in-law kept telling me that walking helps speed things along, and she sure was right. I went walking Sunday evening and Monday during the day and went into labor later that might. For our first baby, it sure was a quick delivery. My water broke at midnight, my contractions didn’t start getting bad until 2am, and Emily was born at 8:41am that morning. I feel so blessed to have experienced such a labor on my first go-around. After a quick trip back to the hospital to fix jaundice, we finally settled back into our house as a new family. I actually have been cooking every night, but between breastfeedings I only have enough time to get dinner ready and scarf down my food. I am getting more accustomed to this schedule, so I hopefully I will find time soon to take pictures of the food, as well.

I know I already said this but CONGRATULATIONS!! She is so beautiful.
